ClickFunnels and Kajabi are forever evolving and growing in popularity.
But which one should you use and which one is better?
Firstly, it is important to understand that they are both built for different audiences, but that doesn’t mean that the crossover between the softwares doesn’t leave some blurred lines making the decision a difficult one.
So let us first go over what exactly each of these softwares are.

What is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels is an all-in-one business software that is specifically developed to help entrepreneurs and business owners alike build highly converting sales funnels.
Although ClickFunnels set out to be the best Sales Funnel Builder on the market it quickly developed and evolved to allow marketers to create sales funnels, landing pages, host auto-webinars and even create membership sites.
What is Kajabi?
Kajabi is also an all-in-one business software that is designed to create online courses, launch marketing campaigns, build landing pages and create a clean efficient website.
Difference Between ClickFunnels and Kajabi?
After reading above that they are both all-in-one business platforms you may be wondering how exactly they differ?
Well ClickFunnels and its features are designed for anybody that has a product or service to sell and is specifically designed to increase your sales with the use of sales funnels.
Kajabi on the other hand is meant for a completely different purpose.
Kajabi is developed to help you create a content delivery system that allows you to earn revenue through digital courses.
In this review I will deep dive into both ClickFunnels and Kajabi’s features to better help you understand which all-in-one business platform is right for you and your business.
Although both of the tools offer very similar features hopefully it will become more clear that both are designed for completely different purposes.
What Features Does ClickFunnels Have?
ClickFunnels has many fantastic features. Being an all-in-one business software ClickFunnels provides you with nearly all the features needed to be successful in any business, industry or Niche.
To save this article being too long, I am just going to cover the core features.
ClickFunnels Drag and Drop Page Builder
ClickFunnels allow you to build a wide variety of pages from landing pages and sales pages to opt-in pages and thank you pages. Building all these pages requires a very different approach and various different elements.
Luckily with ClickFunnels you are able to build all these pages with a click of a button and a drag a and drop.
Using ClickFunnels drag and drop builder makes this a very easy straight forward process.
ClickFunnels Pre-built Templates (CookBook)
Clickfunnels gives you access to hundreds of pre-built fully customizable templates.
The best bit about the templates is that they are built by some of the best marketers of this decade such as Russell Brunson and Julie Stoian.
On the subject of Templates ClickFunnels has a fantastic feature called the CookBook.
The Cookbook gives you all the ingredients you need to create a full step-by-step optimized sales funnel. These templates are split into separate niches and industries meaning you are sure to find the exact template you need irregardless of how unique your niche is.
ClickFunnels Affiliate BackPack
If you have a following already especially one that truly believes in your products or services this feature might be of interest to you.
With ClickFunnels Affiliate Backpack you are able to set up affiliate commission plans so that other people can promote your products for you in return for a commission.
On top of being able to set up this commission plan you can also manage and monitor your affiliate sales through an easy to use dashboard which will give you insights into who and where your sales are coming from.
ClickFunnels Split Testing
I’m sure you have heard this a thousand times to the point that it is boring you to death now.
But.
And I really can’t stress this enough split testing or A/B testing is a vital part of marketing and something that everyone should do if they really want to become and maintain profitability.
With ClickFunnels this process is made very easy.
When you click on to your one of you pages or funnels you will see straight away a button that you can press to start split testing.
Once you have clicked the split test button it will create a copy of your page/ funnel so that you can make small or large changes as you see fit to ensure your page is optimized for conversations or opt-ins as possible.
Auto-Webinars and Membership Sites
So this for me is where ClickFunnels starts to differentiate itself from its competition.
There are many companies that offer landing page builders, there are many pages that offer web-based checkout platforms.
There is even platforms out there to build sales funnels (Although ClickFunnels still holds the crown when it comes to funnels building).
But not many companies offer all of these features as well as the ability to host auto-webinars and even build membership sites.
On top of being able to do all these things you think it would be a jack of all trades master of none situation.
But ClickFunnels does all these things and does so effortlessly.

So Kajabi has many amazing features but to go over all of them would make this article rather long.
As such I am just going to give a brief overview of each feature before covering the Core features in a bit more detail.

With some platforms they give you the ability to list a multitude of products but many of them allow you to list each of them individually.
With the Ecommerce platform you have the ability to create a marketplace where your customers can by any of your other products with one click.
Site Themes
This one is fairly self explanatory with Site Themes you have the ability to pick a highly optimized theme your site.
One Login
If you offer a wide variety of products and services I think it goes without saying that it may be confusing if each product has a different login id.
With One Login your customers are able to access each of the products and services with one simple login.
Site Customization
With site customization you have the ability to fully adapt any of your pages with your own branding, fonts, colors and even layout.
Custom URL
With Kajabi you have the ability to add your own custom domain to really give your site a unique and personal feel.
Pre-built disclaimers
It is common practice to ensure all sites have a Terms of Use and Privacy Policy to comply with regulations. Kajabi makes this process much easier by giving you both of these pre-built and ready to go.
Reports
Again another fairly self explanatory category but with Reports you have the ability to monitor your sales by day, week, month and offer with one simple dashboard.
You can also monitor and track affiliate sales should you have others promoting your product for you.

Product Themes
With product themes you are able to choose the right fully-customizable theme for each of your products and not just your website
Mobile Optimized Pages
If you already have a page or website up and you are using a monitoring system such as analytics, it won’t come as a surprise to you that over half your traffic comes from mobiles these days.
With Kajabi’s mobile optimized pages you don’t have to worry about losing traffic due your site/ products not loading or looking clean on mobile displays.
Video Hosting
Kajabi are partnered with Wistia meaning you can embed your videos directly to your site or page. This means your videos will load and play much more efficiently and means you don’t need any 3rd party tools.
Downloads
With downloads you get the ability to easily upload files such as images, word documents, videos and PDF’s that can be downloaded by your customers with the click of a button.
Community Building
With Community building you get the ability to have your customers engage with you as well as other customers. Once a comment has been posted you will get notified and if you or another customer responds to that comment the original poster will also get an email notification.
This allows your customers to jump back into the conversation and keeps engagement high.
Drip Content (scheduled Content)
So this to me is one of the best features they offer. If you have a particularly large course with a plethora of content you may not want to release all your content to your customers in one batch once the hit the purchase button.
Too much content can be overwhelming for your customers.
With Drip Content you are able to drip feed content to your customers over a period of time or when they specifically request it allowing your customers sufficient time to properly go over in piece of content of each module
People Features with Kajabi
Member List
With members list you are able to pull up an easy to digest list of your customers and filter them down into what products they purchased and when.
This can be a great feature for re-marketing purposes of cross/ up selling.
Member Dashboard
Now I personally don’t see a huge benefit of having this but with the member dashboard you are able to look at one specific member and see what product they purchased, how long they have had it and how many payments they have made.
Like I said with the exception of trying to prevent fakes or scammers I don’t see a huge benefit to this.
Bulk user Import
If you are offering a new product for free to existing members or something similar you have what’s known as the bulk import feature.
This allows you to import a list of names and emails and then Kajabi will send out an email with the link for them to access.
Comment Moderation
With Comment moderation you have full control on who and what they comment on your products.
Lifecycle
Lifecycle allows you to easily view how your customers entered your ecosystem and how they interact with your content at certain stages of their journey.
This can be useful information to aid you with your marketing adventures.
Tagging
With Tagging you are able categorize your customers depending on their actions taken.
Using this tagging system you are able to better market to individual groups to improve your conversions.
Marketing Features with Kajabi
Pipelines
I will go into a bit more detail about about pipelines later, however with pipelines you have the ability to easily piece together landing pages, email sequences and offers.
Pipeline Blueprints
The main purpose of Pipeline is to create an automated email sequence.
With Pipeline Blueprints you are able to quickly and easily put automated email sequences in place using the pre-written email templates.
Landing Page Builder
Like most platforms these days Kajabi has a whole list of pre-built templates that you can simply click, edit and use immediately.
Custom Forms
With Custom Forms you can create forms with custom fields that you can use to collect your customers information and details.
This makes retaining customers and remarketing much easier.
Capture Leads
Using things such as the custom forms obviously allows you to capture leads. The leads captured are instantly stored in Kajabi making nurturing leads a much smoother process.
Email Analytics
Using email analytics you are able to directly see things such as open rates from the Kajabi platform without the need for 3rd party reporting.
Assessments
This is Kajabi’s umbrella term for a collection of rather clever elements.
With Kajabi you able to input things such as quizzes, uploadable documents and even progression buttons that don’t allow the customers to proceed without first completing a section.
Elements like this not only improve engagement but also you can use these for accountability to keep your customers focused and on track.
Events (Evergreen)
So Kajabi may be the only other software that offers the ability to build landing pages and membership sites and still offers the ability to host auto-webinars.
Using events you are able to set the timer to play your webinar every 10 minutes, 30 minutes or just on repeat whenever a customer signs up.
Kajabi Core Features
So as you can see above Kajabi has lots of features.
Out of all these features they two stand out features for me are as follows.
Online course & Membership Site Builder
As Kajabi is mainly developed for educators its main purpose is to create courses and build out membership sites.
When you first start out Kajabi offers 3 different templates or ‘Blueprints’
These templates are as follows:
- Mini Course Builder
- Online Course
- Online Training
Or if none of these take your fancy you can build out the course from scratch.
Once you have selected one of the blueprints it will automatically format your website to suit and you will be given a nice starting point with editable names and tags.
It will display different categories and sections (depending on which template you choose). Each of these categories can be edited as required, this means you can edit the name tag, change the order or simply delete as your heart desires.
One Click Funnel Creation With Pipelines
Prior to September 24th I would of gone into great detail about ClickFunnels email software Actionetics before getting to this topic.
However as stated above Actionetics, unless already a member, is a thing of the past.
Kajabi however still offers an email marketing service called Pipelines.
When starting you will be presented with a selection of pre-built pipelines which include a funnel, promotional offers, reports, sales pages and more. Again if you choose to not use any of the pre-built templates you can build out your own bespoke funnel and emails.
With Pipelines you also get access to in depth reporting which will display things such as engagement and open rate
ClickFunnels Pricing and Plans
ClickFunnels has 2 plans that are publicly displayed and a 3rd plan which is much more of a trade secret.
So starting with the 3rd plan which is the secret plan.
This is referred to as the Share Funnel Plan.
Share Funnel Plan
The share funnel plan is the cheapest but most restricted plan ClickFunnels offer.
With this plan you are only able to use funnels that have been shared with or to you and this funnels can not be edited or customized in any way. You are also limited to 3 funnels on this plan so truth be known there is very little requirement for this plan.
Should you wish to sign up to this plan you will either need to get invited to join clickfunnels via a share funnel link or alternatively if you are already a clickfunnels member you can drop down on to this plan.
If you head over to your membership section and look to cancel your subscription, if you when cancelling you select money as the reason for leaving. In a bid to keep you as a customer ClickFunnels will automatically offer you the share plan option.
But as I said with how restricted this plan is it will be difficult to find an effective use for it.
The next plan is ClickFunnel most popular pro plan.
ClickFunnels Pro Plan
The ClickFunnels pro plan costs $97.00 a month and comes with everything you need to be successful with the exception of the 3 Platinum features mentioned earlier.
With the ClickFunnels pro plan you get access to 20 funnels, 100 pages, 20,000 monthly site visitors and unlimited contacts.
If you are low on cash flow but appreciate the benefits of clickfunnels this is the plan I would recommend to you.
The last plan is ClickFunnels most premium plan and that is known as ClickFunnels Platinum.
ClickFunnels Platinum
With ClickFunnels platinum you get unlimited everything plus 3 new amazing features.
Prior to September 24th Clickfunnels Premium plan included what was known as Actionetics.
Actionetics was ClickFunnels own Email software that allowed you setup email flows and automation for your sales funnels.
On September 24th ClickFunnels celebrated their 5th Birthday. With which they decided it was time to go back to their routes and retake the throne as the best Sales Funnel Builder on the market.
In doing so they decided it was time to stop putting time and energy into Actionetics and focus their energy elsewhere.
On September 24th, Actionetics was put into maintenance mode, meaning if you were already a member of ClickFunnels Etison Suite you continued to have access to the email software,
However,
This also meant that no more updates, fixes or maintenance would take place and after this date you could no longer get access to Actionetics.

Now this to me is one of the most valuable features that comes with ClickFunnels Platinum.
FunnelFlix is netflix meets business as it contains various content including documentaries, inside looks at premium conferences and insider trainings to make sure you are successful in whatever avenue of business you are pursuing.
Funnel Hacker Forum
If you have ever seen or been a part of the ClickFunnels Facebook group you will notice that it is rather wild.
There are over 200,000 active members in the Facebook group however ClickFunnels has around 100,000 paying members.
As you can see there is quite a disparity between members to paying customers.
Well this is where the Funnel Hacker Forum comes into play.
The Funnel hacker forum is a place for entrepreneurs and business owners alike to connect, network and assist each other when every day problems and issues.
This can be a valuable tool if used correctly.
Which Plan Should You Choose?
Prior to ClickFunnels Platinum being released I would have always recommended the $97.00 a month plan.
However with the addition of all this useful training content and the closed forum, I honestly think the value received from these features makes ClickFunnels Platinum an absolute bargain for the money.
Kajabi Pricing and Plans
With Kajabi one thing that is quite nice is you get access to their premium features regardless of which plan you select.
The main differences between the packages is the limitations on how many products, pipelines and members you can have amongst other things.
The first thing you will notice is that the plans are quite a lot more expensive when compared to ClickFunnels which given that it arguably isn’t capable of anywhere near as much is a bit of a set back in my books.
However when selling online digital courses the profit margin is generally going to be considerably higher than your average product. Based on this, I think if you have a solid course that you are selling than the monthly cost will seem like a drop in the ocean in comparison to the potential earnings.
ClickFunnels vs Kajabi Final Decision
Hopefully from my article you now realise that Kajabi is designed for creating and marketing your online courses.
So I think it goes without saying that if you are only interested in creating and selling your own digital course then Kajabi is the way to go.
With that being said, it is quite expensive for that sole purpose, so I would suggest unless you already have a proven course with enough customers lined up to purchase then it may be worth looking elsewhere.
That elsewhere should probably ClickFunnels as although you don’t have purpose built features to create online course you do have the ability to build membership sites which can act in its place.
ClickFunnels is an all-in-one business software that allows you to sell not only courses but all manner of products.
If you are in business for the long run then I think ClickFunnels should be your choice.
I would suggest the Clickfunnels Platinum plan is definitely the best value however if you don’t want to stretch your budget that far than the basic $97.00 a month plan will certainly do you proud.
